The British Embassy have updated the templates required for obtaining an Affirmation of freedom to marry.

Does anyone know how long this takes? Booked an appointment Tuesday, can it all be done in 1 day or no?

Your affirmation will be issued the same day you attend the British Embassy - unless you incorrectly prepare your application and it cannot be signed.

A word of advice. If you're using an agent make sure he uses the updated form. It can certainly hold things up otherwise. However there is a computer there which you can use to fill out the correct form or fix any mistakes made.
