Ailing police officer shoots himself dead

A police lieutenant was found dead at his house in Nakhon Sawan’s Muang district on Monday morning.

The Muang Nakhon Sawan police were told of the suspected suicide at a house in Tambon Nakhon Sawan Tok at 10am.

 

The body of Pol Lt Chukiart Anusorn, 58, an investigator attached to the Nakhon Sawan police head office, was found in his bedroom on the ground floor of the two-storey house.

 

He had sustained a gunshot wound in his chest and a sawn-off shotgun was found nearby.

 

Chukiart’s relatives said he had suffered from chronic ailments for some years. 

 

He had told his family he wanted to rest in his room after breakfast but they heard a gunshot soon afterwards and found him dead.
