This is something that I am led to beleive happened in the States a few years ago.

Police were investigating a very strange incident. A man was found shot in the head in a saftey net of a 15 story building.

The man had apparantly thrown himself from the building in an attempt to comit suicide, he had no idea the safety net was in place as builders were working on renovations. As he passed the 9th floor he was shot in the head from a window on that floor. If he had not been shot then he would have survived.

Now the ninth floor window that faced the way that the man jumped was occupied by the jumper's parents (coindidence or what?) Apparantly the guy's father had a thing for waving an unloaded shotgun at his wife (wether she knew it was unloaded or not I cannot say) during many of the bitter rows that they had. They were having one of these rows at the time the man jumped. Now the Father told Police that he never loaded the gun EVER and the waving around was just for effect. On this day the gun went off but he had no idea he had shot anyone, especially his own Son. After further investigations it transpired that the Son hated his Mother intesley as she held the family purse strings and he owed a lot of money to the wrong kind of people and she would not help him out so he wanted her dead. The Son knew of his Father's propensity for waving around the shotgun and a neighbour had reported seeing him acting suspiciously a few months earlier. Apparantly it was alleged that the Son loaded the Gun. However his father had failed to have any serious arguments with his Mother for a long time and his time had come for repaying his debts or facing the consequenses, how was he to know that on this day his father fired the Gun and missed his mother, but killed him.

The inquest returned a verdict of Accidental Death.

I suppose he got what he wanted, just not in the way he expected.

Make your own judgements, I am just relaying what I saw written!! Has anyone lese heard of this "Stranger Than Fiction Tale"? :o

I have read that story a few years ago, stuff like that seems impossible but the odds are there.

It was posted on the DARWIN AWARDS website. They are proud to say "The Darwin Awards honor those who improve our gene pool... by removing themselves from it." So true

I remember one particular story about an Air force guy who strapped a jet engine onto the roof of his car, tried it out on a desert road . He was later identified from a tooth found in the remains.... Braaavo :o
