Was working fine this morning, had left it in sleep mode, turned it back on but no cursor. Tried a couple of different mice, all wired, but nothing works. Any ideas?

Call the helpdesk, they can send you a new one online...

They can't if it's a PC malfunction.

disappearing cursor back to visible in Windows 10: Fn + F3 / Fn + F5 / Fn + F9 / Fn + F11.

or try ctrl + f3 etc

Tried all that, no luck, and I can't find mice and pointing devices next to keyboard to update the driver. I think it's a fault in the Lenovo PC.

Standard mouse

  1. Verify all signal cable extensions and the Keyboard, Video, Mouse (KVM) switch box have been removed prior to any troubleshooting.
  2. Verify the mouse is connected to the correct PS/2 or USB port.
  3. If the mouse pointer does not move smoothly with the movement of the mouse, try cleaning your mouse.
  4. Verify the latest mouse drivers have been properly installed.
    • Use the link below to find the latest mouse driver for your system.
  5. Verify that only one mouse is connected to the machine.
  6. Verify that the mouse is enabled in the System Configuration Utility (BIOS).
    1. Power on the system and press F1 to enter the System Configuration Utility
    2. Select Devices or Devices and I/O ports and press enter
    3. Verify PS/2 mouse has "enabled" next to it. If set to disable, follow on-screen instructions to enable the mouse
  7. Check the mouse on another machine.
  8. Check another mouse on this machine.
  9. If these steps have not solved your problem: Or refer to "Need more help?"

Note: Extension cables and Keyboard, Video, Mouse (KVM) switches are not supported.

Yes, several times.

Use keyboard to go into Device Manager and select Mice and other pointing devices. Expand tree w/ right-arrow. For each mouse driver, Alt-A for Actions on the menu. Select update driver or uninstall driver. Reboot.

You could also try a system restore from last restore point.

If you have some electrical contact cleaner, spray in USB port(s).

As you resorted to inane playground name-calling and associated sense of humour failure then I would have made a positive suggestion.

Up to you.  Get over yourself.

I doubt you know what a positive suggestion is, too busy trying to be a smart arse.

Apologies if I upset your fragile sensibilities with some light humour.

Knock yourself out and lighten up.

What devastating impact has it had on you to merit such nonsense?

Had the same before, and after hibernation.

It loads a wrong driver when wake up, and the only way out of that was using another usb port which then used the right driver and it worked.

And then returning in the usb port used before it worked too.

It get stuck in the switching in usb 1.1 and usb 2.0 mode.

Same issues I get with wrong inserted usb memory sticks with loose contacts.

Rgds,
