Samui to Phuket Airport or Hat Yai airport ferry & land - which is quicker

Hi guys,

 

Going to get new visa in KL end of the month.  Can anyone tell me which airport would be the quickest to get to, Hat Yai or Phuket?  And what would the optimal route/method of travel be?

Travelling from either of these airports is literally £100's of quid cheaper than flying from Samui on Bandit Airways so I really don't mind the longer travel times.  Thanks

Try Krabi airport too.. That's the one I use and its less than 3hrs from Donsak ferry port. Pretty sure there are mini vans that will take you there.. 

Hat Yai is more than 4hrs from Donsak and Phuket about 3.5hrs..

Didn't think of that. Quicker to get to and the flights a bit cheaper as well. Nice one.  Any idea what I should be paying roughly for taxi/minibus from Donsak?

You can get to Krabi for 700b from Samui with Lomprayha. Im not sure if it goes to the airport though, might just be Krabi town.

Nakhon Sri Thammarat airport(NST) or Suratthani Airport (SRT). 

500 baht from Samui including ferry and bus service to either airport.

It's a pity neither of those airports fly to KL. I really miss the Air Asia Surat-kl route.

 

I have been looking at getting to Krabi with Phantip which is the cheapest way I can find.

They unfortunately don't have flights for KL, I checked it yesterday, as both airports seemed a better choice than Phuket and Krabi.
