Going to get an affidavit of residence from the Usa embassy in Bangkok, Will this affidavit have to be translated and sent to the MFA to get a stamp? I am doing this so I can apply for a Thai drivers licence.

It will not need to be translated. I think you can have them post it out to you at cost or return and pick it up. Make sure you have done a tm30 just in case.
