A 15 year old boy was pulled from a klong on Koh Chang by a border policeman after he passed out and was drowning.

Somkhit Nakhapayak was given two minutes of CPR and was coming round when rescue services arrived to take him to hospital.

He is now recovering.

The incident happened 200 meters from the waterfall of Klong Phlu on Sunday afternoon.

Witnesses said a group of boys had gone to play in the floodwaters coming down the klong.

The Koh Chang border policeman was not named.
