Unfortunately Mr Google is not perfect. An AOT VIP service exists but when I tried to book it online for last week, about 10 days prior, I got an immediate email reply saying unfortunately they are fully booked at that time. When I dropped off the MIL at 6pm, the airport did not appear particularly busy. Maybe bad luck or that the service is very limited and needs booking months ahead.

But the problem is if you are 84 , accompanied by your 24 year old wife and having 3 children with you under 4 years old together with  your 20 year old Mia Noi, would they still let you all together go through the VIP channel I wonder ? ????

dream on.......

Thanks for that. I have happily used the one at BKK but was not aware of the DMK facility. Incidentally, this is for departures, but does a similar facility exist for incoming over 70's etc?

Actually I understand that the AOT service is for real Thai VIPs and not for falang. So unless you can speak or write hi-so Thai, don't bother applying.

The graphic states Level 2 Arrivals, but why it only shows a VIP area on Concourse G I have no idea. That suggests it has nothing to do with Passport Control so I'm not really any clearer.

I'm not interested in AOT service, just passport control. Perhaps I didn't make myself entirely clear, although the thread header should have provided a clue. Sorry. Is there a Fast Track Passport Control for Business Class/Old Farts? Like there is at Swampy situated between the two passport control areas.

I got off a flight at DM on Friday at the remotest end of the new terminal. I'm pretty fit for 74 but it was a long walk to the exit.

I thought how is an 84 year old going to manage this without a wheel chair or a golf buggy ?

I haven't been to Don Mueang airport in ages, but this looks like swampy. Not very helpful either.

At DMK, if you arrive on an international flight and use the "fly-thru" facility of Air Asia, Nok Air or Thai Lion Air to a domestic destination, there are two Immigration desks solely for passengers using "fly-thru" behind the onward check-in desks. In my experience (a 75 year old), I never have to wait more than a couple of minutes to clear Immigration. It is a fantastic service.

We called Thai Lion Air and they said no service was available from them to assist elderly passengers check in and be escorted to their gate, the service you refer to is only to ensure passengers when in transit to another domestic flight, off an international flight, or vice versa, I imagine.

As I mentioned above the service on arrival or departure for Fast Track service is theoretically available at DMK  https://www.limousine.in.th/fast-track-immigration.html  However in my limited experience at DMK it was fully booked when I tried to book it. I am not sure if that is normal or I was just unlucky.

Certainly – or some same-same but different line – when legally married, you should then allowed to use the line for Thai nationals only, which is normally (much) faster than a normal tourist-line; I will check the VIP-line next time I come to Don Mueang (not often, mainly Suwearnabhumi), and see if I'm allowed to bring both GF, and MN, and kid through it...????

Absolutely fantastic ...I needed cheering up this morning...and your post certainly did that....GB Yeh!

PS...After posting my post I read yours again...and had another "belly laugh"...Cheers.

Was trying to remember the name of the old guy that kept popping into my head at reading your post. I should know his name because I met his brother a few times...the Dad in "Steptoe and Son"...was it Arthur Something or other?
