A Korat woman is appealing for justice for her husband after he was thrown in the cells following a drugs bust.

He had just started work as a Grab Car driver when police stopped him with three drug running passengers in his vehicle. They had Ya Ba and "Ice" - crystal meth.

Supansa Ranok told Daily News Online that her husband - for whom the media rather unfortunately chose the assumed name of "Ice" - was totally innocent.

He had been driving for Grab for five days. He had met a man earlier who liked his line in chat and gave him his number. Last Monday he drove the man and his two friends on a journey but they were all stopped by the Phimai, Nakorn Ratchasima police.

The drug runners said that the driver was innocent and the police accepted that he was an important witness - but they threw him in the cells all the same.

Pictures on Supansa's Facebook page showed her visiting "Ice" in the cells.

She called for justice and claimed the couple have little money then admitted they get in 1,000 baht a day.

The story was going viral on Thai social media reported Daily News.

Well, test him for drugs. If it's negative, he should have a good position not to be involved in this whole thing.

Police in Thailand are cowboys and should have 0 authority to jail anybody other than to attend a court date if bail is not granted by a court official
