I'm looking for a semi formal term for conflict of interest, as in a doctor caring for patients while representing a drug company, or more specific to my case, a condo owner wanting to become a full time employ of the condo administration staff. I have not found the term in dictionaries and the best I could get with google was:

 

ความขัดแย้งทางผลประโยชน์

 

or shorter  ขัดผลประโยชน์

 

where ขัดกัน  is conflict  ผลประโยชน์ is benefits.

 

My gut feel says these are more for conflict between options or people.

A strict legal term used in law would probably work if I new it.

Thanks for so much information. Both documents are good, the first shows 4 ways of expressing conflict of interest. I'll try these and see where it goes.

ผลประโยชน์ทับซ้อน มีความหมายเดียวกัน แต่เป็นคำที่อ่อนกว่าหรือไม่ใช่

 

 

 

ผลประโยชน์ทับซ้อน seems to me the better term because it describes the nature of the conflict between the interests-- that they overlap.

 

So if I were trying to explain this to someone, I might construct something like:

 

เจ้าของห้องรับตำแหน่งนี้ไม่เหมาะสมเพราะว่ามีความขัดแย้งทางผลประโยชน์ ผลประโยชน์ทับซ้อนกัน
