I may try Turbo Tax, or similar, next year.  But frankly all the various schedules relating to my numerous stock trades make the paperwork onerous so i don't know how the online deals with such data.

I did mail in my 1040 this year to KC, MO using my GA address.  Hope it works.

With the online version of Turbo Tax, at least, you have the option to online import/upload all your brokerage tax document info from quite a few of the major U.S. brokerages directly into your TT filing.  Just click the brokerage you're using from within TT, and enter your login ID and password, and the TT system vacuums up the tax document data directly. The only thing you have to enter manually, that doesn't get uploaded directly, is any K-1/MLP documents you may receive.

I believe, some of the other online tax systems have similar upload capabilities for brokerage info. Saves a lot of time, work and the potential for human mistakes.
