get the boat from Krabi spend a couple of days in koh Pu,koh Lanta and koh Phi Phi

I reckon you should spend a couple of days in Bangkok for shopping as well.

Go camping inside Khao Yai National Park

you can't beat being woken up by a troop of marauding macaques !!

The great thing about travelling through thailand in may is that you wont have any problems in finding decent accommodation at a fair price. So you could leave your planning till nearer the date, try and get a 10 day qualified weather report and avoid the areas with the worst weather if there is any. I'd say go south, if the weather is bad on one side of the peninsula you can just hop over to the otherside.
