whilst I respect that some folk might research side effects of a particular drug (which includes death in most cases, regardless of drug type), and I applaud that, it’s interesting to note that those posting seem to universally agree that hallucinations don’t happen

so... what the hell...

... at the peak of my five year addiction I was eating as much as 2000 mg a day. The most significant side effect was uncontrollable muscle spasms, but never ever did I experience an hallucination (just as well as that would have been a bonus)

i gave them up easily enough, but my partner (playmate) spent four weeks in rehab (whilst I scoured the house for any hidden stashes)

everyone has their own sad story, but the point herein is that I too call bs on the police assertions. There was definitely more to it than prescribed dosages of trammies, even if the entire prescription was consumed in one go.

Interesting thing about the muscle spasms or myoclonus.

I get them like tourette's and lasts say 3 hours.

But only laying down at night.

I've had tramadol 150mg SR twice a day almost 3 years .

Plus Amitriptyline 25mg at night.

Alcohol is a no no.

Definitely NO highs or euphoria.

Problem is what else happens like bowel movements and urination.

ED is a big issue.

I underwent prostate and bladder examination in the possibility that something was wrong.

Stopped the tramadol virtually.

Almost back to a normal life.

Except for the pain.

The tramadol and amitriptyline certainly knocked me around down below.

I still get the spasms maybe once a month. Cause unknown.

But a half tramadol stops it.

Weird..

PM me if anyone wants to talk about the effects.

Same with Duodart for prostate problems.

It kills the old fella.

I know many people who don't want to chat openly..

Yep... exactly the same experience.... it would always start when lying down “trying” to get to sleep. Then your off again.

glad to here your also kicking the little buggers, which is damn hard if not for the simple fact that every pharmacy push’s them

good luck dude.

edit... FYI... my partner still has “restless leg” issues (I don’t, thankfully) We never connected that to the trammies. But we will never use trammies to assist, it’s to insidious. What does appear to help is massaging in a generous dollop of tiger balm. Blood circulation benefits the problem (massage) and the balm takes your mind of most things.

Magnesium tablets are helping.

With kava..

2x about 1 hour before sleeping.

Banned in the UK but available in Australia and Thailand.

I had 3 hours last night.

Jumping around the bed.

(Not that way)

But as soon as the legs are off the bed it stops.

Scary thing because my brother had Parkinson's.

I've been tested for that.

Plus many other things.

I sort of accept that a half tramadol is better than 2x 150 mg and the amitriptyline 25mg.

Literally have boxes of each.

Should dispose of, but it's a psychological back stop.

My sister in law has fibromyalgia and other goodies and CBD works well.

She can basically cut her other 20 tablets down to half if she buys and uses cbd.  In the UK.

Thanks mate... that’s great info... I just googled magnesium (concerns about heavy metals) and see its recommended for restless leg. I shall have to discuss this with my partner.

the bit about CBD might explain why I’m not similarly effected ????

Thai doctors and pharmacies love the "shotgun" pill approach.  I have a friend went in with a bad cold and came out (untested) with so many pills he was hallucinating in a matter of days.

Using Magnesium, you cycle them, two or three weeks on, one week off, unless you can buy chelated magnesium

I'm not promoting any particular brand.

But this one seems to work.

*Also magnesium oil is beneficial.

You can also soak in baths with magnesium flakes or salts.

My sister is law uses Epsom salt baths..hot.  inexpensive too.

Believe me..

I've inadvertently clobbered my wife several times when the arms take off..

Debilitating is not the word...

Another positive is that I can actually pee again..

I used to go up to three days.

It just didn't happen...

I don't mind sharing if someone benefits from it..

Too many men hide their health issues..
