Sometimes they give us a call but mostly it's impromptu. Normal teacher behavior. It's always social and friendly and photos always taken before they leave. I would think that taking photographs infringed your privacy Do they state what the photographs will be used for? Do explain how they will protect your information and or request permission to use the photographs? Infringed on your privacy ????... It's a photograph.... What snowflakey world of faux-outrage are us princesses living in if we are going to feel our rights are infringed upon when a teacher; someone we trust to become the primary carer of our children in the day time, wants to visit the homes of the school children to ensure they are safe ???? Some folk are tripping over themselves to protect the most ridiculous idea of infringement on rights. 1
poohy Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Dont have kids stepdaughter does Fail to see why teachers should visit your house, in 5 years in our present house we have had a few casual thai visitors( insurance people neighbours etc) never have they been invited inside ( ...they can sit on the patio) Dont understand why teachers shoulld be allowed to do this
jimmyyy Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 We have three kids two in private international schools and one in the village kindegarden for this year only. Typically we get a phone call from the school that tells us when the teacher will come, for us its always been on a Saturday. They sit around chat with the kids and the wife, about how the kids are doing, are they turning in assignments stuff like that. Then at the end, photos, which i think the teachers have to turn in to prove they went there. Most likely for payment. Its really not a big deal. 1
Thongkorn Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I wish they had done this to my wife and her ex. It would have saved a lot of heart ache, After years of abuse and beatings from her Thai partner. she got him arrested for breaking her ribs and putting her in Hospital. After the police arrested him and put him in the cells for the night He came home and while the Wife was at work Gave her two children away, My wife spent three years walking round schools on Bangkok trying to find her children, Maybe if the School teachers had done whats been stated on this thread, it would not have got that far, Dont See the bad in everything. Do the teachers only chek on Mixed marriages, or do they chek on Thai ones too, and if they find any anomaly's would they intervene with a Thai family, Or would they just do the Thai thing and look the other way.
Mikisteel Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 In our moo baan I hear they weighed our son whilst he was with his mom in the park. I thought this was a bit odd but I hear it's standard in some places.
