July 9, 20196 yr No problem to do that. The embassy or consulate would not care that you had a valid extension. Just be sure the immigration officer uses your visa when entering the country instead of your re-entry permit.
July 9, 20196 yr Yes, I did that in April with several months left on my previous Non O-A, I also had a re-entry permit as a back up.
