Driving licence

What's the procedure for changing passport number on driving licence? just go to transport and they will change or would I have to get COR plus copies? have car and motorbike licences.

I never bothered until it became time to renew my license.

If any entity needs your passport number, they usually want to see your actual passport, not your driving license.

I just did mine last week.  Document needed:

 

1) Copy of new passport

2) Certificate of Residency from Phuket Immigration

3) Old driving license

 

Go in the morning and the fee was 55THB.

Plus the fee for COR which is the main reason I won't bother to change Passport number. Why do you need the COR when you have address registration slip in your passport, just another money making scam.

The COR is supposed to be free.

Will be renewing my license next week

Wait until you are involved in an accident and the insurance company says you don't have a "proper valid license"!  I rather have peace of mind that costs only 300THB.  Of course you are entitled to your opinion.

This is openly asked, not under the table.  I am sure the boss knows.  I would gladly give a tip just like any service I appreciate.

Yea but I would rather it was a paid for service like the re-entry permit, no problem paying at all but it's supposed to be free.

My driving licence is valid but the passport number is incorrect, I carry my Passport with me at all times so it's not a problem.

I had a very bad accident about 1 yr ago my driving licence was never asked for only passport.

Wait until you are involved in an accident and the insurance company says you don't have a "proper valid license"!  I rather have peace of mind that costs only 300THB.  Of course you are entitled to your opinion.

For me, its easier to carry my driving license with the correct information than to carry my passport with me all the times.  I even used my driving license to register into hospital.
