What post office to pay customs if I live in Pratumnak/Jomtien?

They are telling me Banglamung but that seems very far from where I live.  I picked up at a post office a while back and it was not Banglamung but one closer to Jomtien.  Any one know?

there is post office small one on soi 5 Jomtiem ( same soi as immigration )

But there is a large one on the sukhumvet road heading south, past Makro, over two sets of traffic lights on the right.

or go down Jomtien second road to the very end and turn onto Sukhumvit, along on the left hand side, white wall outside,

car park and building set back from car park.

easy to miss.

Don't know anything about coustoms

It's Banglamuang if package is held for collection and duty.

Small duty is often collected by postman but perhaps you missed him

and p/u slip was left?

That's right!!

My assumption is that it's Banglamung.

Only because once I had a Lazada package shipped by post office and the pickup place was Banglamung on delivery attempt not Jomtien.

I managed to get it redelivered. Otherwise I would have let them send it back as it was COD.

Wondering if any of you have had an issue with incorrect customs valuation.  I have a really bizarre situation here.  I ordered some personal items (clothing) from Japan.  The total value of the shipment was only around 1400 baht.  Add postage cost and the total came to 1564 baht.

The problem:  The shipper did not enter a valuation (marked it as 0.00).  So now, I get the green letter from the post office saying I owe 6,000 baht in duty (based on them inspecting the contents)!  How could they possible come up with such a ridiculous number on items that are obviously of low value, considering the items were just a few pairs of running shorts (average price on Lazada for such shorts is 1000 baht each, at most).

More importantly, how do I dispute this with them?  I tried calling the post office and nobody spoke English fluently enough to provide me with any instructions.  Banglamung PO is 40 minutes away so I really want to get this settled by email, text, or phone.

I have ample written documentation of the price I actually paid that includes the tracking number of the package, so who do I approach with this, and is there a likelihood I can rectify this?

If I can't, will the package be returned to sender?  There's no damn way I'm gonna pay 6,000 baht for a package that only costs around 1500 baht!

For dispute, you'll have to go to Laksi in Bangkok, sometime I get green slip but the package is held in Bangkok and I had to go and pay in person when they see something contentious, like they are afraid that if the customs is too high I won't pay and rather just let them throw the package away.

Thai Customs is SO screwed up!  I ordered 3 pairs of athletic shorts from Japan for 4750 JP (about 1100 Baht).  Customs ignored the declared valuation even though a store invoice was inside the package, and assessed a value of 16,000 Baht!!!!  Seriously, how could anyone assume that 3 pairs of basic athletic shorts could have such a preposterous value?

To make matters worse, they sent the package to Banglamung Post Office which is considerably further from where I live than the normal one I normally go to for duty-payable items.  Fact is, there should have been NO payable duty, and it should have been delivered to my door-step!

So, I had to take a one hour drive to the post office simply to file a petition in-person  to have the package re-assessed.  They wouldn't let me do that via email or fax.  Now I have to wait for up to 4 weeks for a determination!

I'll tell you, I love living in Thailand but things like this are so damn ridiculous!

One interesting fact I discovered is that if you do refuse a package due to your disagreement on Customs assessment , they must return it to the shipper within 30 days.

Also, I had another encounter with Customs about a year ago where they confiscated a large package worth US 500 because there was one e-cig accessory worth US 50 in the package.  They said the entire package was being confiscated.  About 6 weeks later, the entire package (including the e-cig item) was delivered to my door-step, duty-free!  GO FIGURE??  I guess all you can say is "This is Thailand, they do things a little different here" ????

My guess is that they just tried to get that money , and after you refused or abandoned they avoid the in 30 days back to sender obligation as mentioned in a upper post ,by deliver it to you anyway...
