That is a familiar family name,

Totally different name. You have failed to understand the na Ayuthaya suffix.

Now this is the sort of thread that I like. Bent cops getting nailed! Shame there aren't hundreds more every day, but the fact that these four are being done is a good start to my day.

Maybe you unaware of that phrase bar stewards, but it is used by many rather than use the word b=s+ar+

Or perhaps 'Four Fall Fowl Of Extortion' by the same author.

If I ever write a short story about Thailand, I want to include this little vignette. What a hoot!

so crooked cops stealing from a crook himself... it happens everyday here and it only make the news because the crooked guy is the son of the Pol Maj-Gen Nanthachart Suphamonkhon, the provincial police commander in Isaan

typical, son of cop, thinks he is above the law, get caught and go cry

Doesnt seem that way to me. He wasnt protesting being arresting. He was complaining of the bribery.

So, Police daddy to the rescue of his criminal son from thieving cops ? Wonder how much or what percentage they will offer to keep their jobs  ?

They need to do a sting on the stingers.

Come on boss, they were just trying to make the station  quota

Good point, he should face the full force of the law, the fact that his daddy is a senior policeman should not come in to it.

Attempting to buy e-cigarette materials is not illegal in any way.

Importing and selling them is the crime. This whole thing makes no sense as the only ones committing a crime was the police and the crime would be selling this kind of thing.

these cops must be a somewhat dense.

even I would think twice when reading "na ayutthaya" on an ID card...

You do realise it was the cops son selling the gear (again) and not the cops don't you?

No, I had assumed it was the other way around.

another clear example like it is not only us farang being subjected on such issues but also thais!

and all i know, in some cases, they pay more than foreigners to get away or asked amounts more than amounts asked from farang.
