Yesterday afternoon (Thursday)  I heard a massive bang, it wasn't a transformer and it wasn't a gun shot, sounded more like a bomb.

I live in Kathu not far from the Songkla University.

My Wife has just been telling me that there was a big checkpoint on the back road to Honda , normally she is waved past but yesterday she was stopped twice at different points.

I have just been reading about the bombs in Bangkok and wondered if there could be any connection.

Did anyone else hear that bang yesterday?
