What has Cambodia (the killing fields) , Genghis Kahn or Idi Ami got to do with the subject matter other than to highlight that mass murderers can sometimes become world renowned ? Those latter three were famous for the pursuit of ideologies, whereas this latest tragedy in El Paso appears to be the pursuit of one individual solely because he wanted infamy. Nothing to do with Trump or gun laws either. There are 337,309 firearms probably higher because Texans are not required by law to register their firearms. So what are you going to do search every home in Texas? 1 1 1 1

Popular Post dundas Posted August 4, 2019 Popular Post Posted August 4, 2019 No doubt we'll hear more politicians talking about thoughts and prayers. My thoughts are that I am fortunate not to be a citizen of the US, land of mass shootings. And my prayer is that finally enough people in the US say 'enough!' and the law about citizens' right to carry the weaponry required for mass shootings is changed. 3 1

I am simply saying in the age of white (supremacist) glorification in America, quite the opposite is the case, in many instances. White men are anything but innocent of grave crimes, racism, hatred, murder, mass murder, genocide, rape, robbery, enslavement, and many other crimes. And they are portrayed as being far less dangerous and culpable than they truly are. Just look at European and American history. Look at the sheer number of genocidal rampages that have been committed by white men, throughout the course of history. We do not deserve the (self) elevated position we occupy. As Pelosi said very accurately, make America great again, simply means make America white again. God forbid. If America needs anything, it is more color, and not less color. Color is at least part of what made America great. Now? That greatness is highly suspect in my opinion. The non stop stream of anti-white propaganda that our children are being force fed through the media and government is one of the primary reasons so many kids are snapping. You don't see these kind of things happening in places like Poland. What we need to do is on a political level fully defeat the Left in order to end the propaganda and other anti-white polices and on a personal level we need to embrace both Alt-Tech and personal, real world organization to give white children a more productive outlet for the very understandable rage they are feeling. White American kids need to know that there are people out there that empathize with what they are going through and support them. We need to do a better job providing them with support. 1 4 3 1

The FBI is investigating claims that the alleged gunman in today's Walmart Texas shooting posted a manifesto citing the Christchurch mosque massacres not long before the attack, according to reports. A manifesto containing white supremacist content was apparently posted online before today's Walmart attack, on the same forum used by the accused Christchurch shooter. The document claimed similar white supremacist reasons for today's shooting. 2

Mel52 Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Oh God it sounds like this is gonna be one of the worst mass shootings in history I’ve been watching it since last night live on the United States news Fox News, CNN, and a few others I have AIS at home so I get most of the United States TV channels. It’s just unbelievable another one a really bad one this time and the shooter had 20 minutes to shoot almost 50 people from what I’m hearing on the news right now they’re saying 20 dead and almost 25 wounded in the hospital. This is horrible and we’ll have plenty of time to debate gun control and how terrible people think things are in America but for now there are mass amounts of people who just died less than 10 hours ago and lots more injured families are just now starting to find out who’s dead who’s alive or in the hospital or what. So for now spare everyone your opinions and just pray for these people.
NanLaew Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 There's been a lot of noise by the gun lobby on how gun ownership and concealed carry can only make American society safer as the citizen can defend, fire back and protect themselves and others from these obviously mentally ill shooters. This in lieu of the inferred slow response times of the regular, trained and armed law enforcement. I wonder if they'll roll that old chestnut out over the next few days? I mean, if you aren't safe in a Walmart in Texas... 2

I guess in one year immigrants kill in Germany less people than they are killed in these single mass shooting. A random mass shooting has almost no impact on the overall murder or crime rate in the US. And has been noted, US gun policy has been pretty much constant for centuries so the increase in mass shootings can not be blamed on any change in gun policy. So it really isn't that "interesting" at all. Germany's leader made a specific change in policy that resulted in a marked increase in crime. No policy change is associated with the increase in mass shootings, and while mass shootings are certainly regrettable, they don't have much impact on America's overall crime or murder rate. 2 1 2 1

I think this is mostly a generational thing and this board skews older. Most younger Westerners I run in to in Thailand are extreme Nationalists. Most older ones, especially from the UK, are more Communist in their outlook. Probably has to do with life experiences. Us younger folks have had to deal with the fall out of Leftist polices in our own countries and so we have a very different outlook than folks who left when their countries were still relative paradises and never actually had to witness the effects of the polices they support. 1 1 1 5
