Pattaya: "Drunk" tourist fished out of the sea at Bali Hai port

Pattaya's Marine Safety Control posted a video on Facebook of the rescue of a 40 - 45 year old foreign tourist who had jumped into the sea at the Bali Hai port.

No one knew where he was from but a rescue official could be heard saying on the video that the man was drunk.

He was eventually fished out using a rope and just had a few scrapes from barnacles.

A witness said he had jumped in to get a shirt belonging to a female companion that had blown into the sea.

Then he couldn't get out.

The tourist had just returned from a day trip on a boat.

Perhaps they all got robbed of their belongings.

Barnacle Bill the Sailor. I would share all the verses to this entertaining sea shanty ... only I fear I would go on a long holiday.

They can't do  much about drunken idiots jumping off boats. Less of a mess than off a condo or Mall building.

Perhaps a rousing chorus of "Red Sails in the Sunset"

Someone who was pissed, i.e. chose to drink too much of the dangerous drug called alcohol which lowers your ability to reason and makes you think you can do things you can't, jumps in the sea to rescue a lady's blouse. Luckily he get's rescued by Thai services.

Another holiday maker who becomes a pissed prat.

And you gripe because poster make fun of the idiot.
