Old staple for the trots no longer being sold - actually worked well at killing the bugs causing the issue

 

 

 

 

 

I generally use ultra carbon, medicinal charcoal  rather than Imodium which bungs you up the charcoal eats the bugs that are causing the problem. Costs about 100 baht for 10. Two are usually enough for me.

I don't think it has been "banned". Where did you get tht information from?

Facino said can't sell it any longer because the antibiotic ingredient 

promotes antibiotic resistance so no longer for sale.

 

Went to Boots - was told we no longer will sell that.

 What Boots says is meaningless. They might be not selling for any number of reasons.

 

Facino I put more stock in but this is the first I have heard of this and hard to ubderstand since sales of all antibiotics, if they lead to overuse, can lead to resistance.

 

I suggest you try a few more pharmacies.

Scored a few packs in a mom and pop pharmacy who had remaining stock.

 

But I'm sure if Facino is no longer stocking for the reason I was told - others may want to grab a few packs for safe keeping.

Shotgun anti-infectives  (some of which are bound to have been unnecessary no matter what was wrong; for many people all will have been unnecessary) plus an antidiarrheal.

 

Not an advisable thing to take.
