One of the more established bars around here I've seen one of the staff on FB asking why is it so quiet? Keep up the good work. Dues to Covid, all of the tourists areas in Thailand would be the same, no tourists, and many closures, most never to reopen again. However, I started this thread a year ago, when it became obvious that legitimate bars and restaurants that traditionally enjoyed good clientele were very quiet. Prior to Covid, this past high season was the quietest i have seen in establishments catering for westerners. This was confirmed by staff and management in many different places. There are a few GGBs up for sale and closed in that area already, and the some of those open are struggling.
