Once they put the bungalows in I stayed there for 5 years or so.

Great place. Good food. Great hosts.

Close to everything. Jet sounds all day as it is on the north bound departure path.

Highly recommended

Ya gotta be a Brit to appreciate it. However, there is history for Chiengmai expats.

not a brit, but i appreciate the vibe.

 

live nearby and walked into the pub the other night. the barman did not understand what a menu was and could not price out a draft beer. willing to pour one when i pointed at the tap and a glass, but that was it. no other customers there.

 

looks like i got a rogue employee or?

Was it perhaps because you did not speak Thai and he did not speak English?  Or were you speaking reasonable quality Thai?

So Graeme the owner for many years has now departed I take it?

 

I did not even know it had re-opened, I used to go for Sunday lunches there

that used to be good, but went downhill about a year before they closed and on one

occasion we were the only people in the place at 1pm so no surprise there really

Grahame and Tong run the bungalows. The Pub run by Thais

one could say that about everything, but i prefer speaking my mind and giving an opinion and my experience. makes life more interestung and you may even learn something.

Barbara -what a stunner she was! Glad to hear family still together but sad about no Sun lunches/Xmas dinner- was excellent 7 yrs ago before I left.
