I am retired here so I am only allowed to spend about 2200 baht/day.

 

I am also married to a local so I could opt for the cheaper 1350 baht/day allowance.

 

But I'm a show off so I stick with the former.

I used to give my ex wife an allowance of 50,000 per month.

of course she wasn;t happy with that so the year after I increased it to 100,000.

I thought she would be happy with just over 3,000 baht a day but it wasnt to be.

 

she left me and i've been single ever since!!!

If I had 18000000 to spend yearly, year in-year out, I won't certainly not spend it only in Thailand.

 

Maybe a couple of months, but some places at the French Riviera in the summer, places in Italy and Austria in the winter, would get my attention.

 

But we are all different.

Earlier I sometimes met with a woman 15 years older.
Thai-chinese , rich, fat and ugly.
Although she was a very nice person I always felt raped after meeting with her.
So I stayed with my dark-skinned girl who doesn't have a baht in assets

I never spend anything, my wife takes care of all that sort of thing.

You forgot to add less than 500 baht per day. 

Local expats on a budget and living on mostly Thai food do not need to spend more than 500 baht per day. 

As long as you don't have to pay for others.

U see it all the time.  They want to sell a property, house or land and refuse to budge from their asking price, and therefore sit on it for years out of sheer stubbornness. Same when renting property, they get greedy ask for more rent, and the lessee refuses, leaving the property empty for however long.

However, I signed down 5-10k per day. That due to that i almost never manage to go under 5k but it´s also very seldom I get up to 10k.
There are always something somebody need, and when one provide. That´s just what happens.
