Extending a one-off visitor visa

Featured Replies

My marriage visa expired on August 2nd, and immigration said i could apply for a one-off visa for visiting my wife and child, but said I could only have it once... My question is can this visa be extended for an additional 60 days same as any regular visa?

I am not sure what the visa is called, but hoping someone is familiar with it and has possibly been able to extend it.

Even though immigration stipulated that I could only have one, technically if i can extend then it is actually just the same one visa... just extended.

Thanks for any help... Please only answer if you know for sure.

thanks.

I think you understood something wrong. They were most likely talking about the 60 days extension to visit your wife.

So basically, this is not a different visa?.. this is already an extension??... Which is strange because i have had extensions in the past and I never had to supply photos with my request to extend, but i had to supply two photos for this one which makes it look more like a visa APPLICATION rather than a visa extension.

Odd. All extensions require a TM 7 form and that has a place for a photograph.
