Amnat Charoen Flooding Extent? Update?

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me what the extent of the flooding in Amnat is like at this time and before? Let’s say from the town area of where the Big C or Big Buddha is at and how far out from the city from there. I have some interests out that way and would like to know.

Last week, I travelled twice through that area (Tuesday and Thursday), and I didn't see any flooding at all.

Great. So do you think the water and floods did not actually get that far up to the city and 30km surrounding area?

The flood waters in Amnart were flash floods and blocked road drains caused by three days of constant rain from the cyclone. The water did, briefly, reach high levels in parts of Amnart city township, but then quickly receded. Not like in Ubon city, where most of the flooding was caused from the water overflowing from the Mun River from water coming in from upcountry.

Thank you. No big deal there.
