I need to renew my extension to a retirement visa at the end of this month but at a new immigration office for me. I gather from earlier posts that different immigration offices have different requirements. Does the Thai Immigration Headquarters issue a list of the required documents? It would simplify things if they did.

i presume it's your renew of your 1 year extension of stay based on retirement?

Where is your new immigration office and do you use the 800 000 deposit method

or the 65 000/month ?

Also have you done at the new immigration office your change of permanent adress

when you have moved from the previous one?

Very good questions. Yet to be replied by OP. First thing needs to do is change of address. As you correctly pointed out.

It would probably also be helpful if the OP could let us know which immigration office is the "new" one for him (in case others on here have had personal experiences of their particular requirements for retirement extensions).

Yep it was my first question for him

but the OP seems to take his time to answer.

Well i don't know if it's me or what

maybe i am old school, but since the OP seems to have disappeared

it's from my pov a rude attitude from his part opposite to the forum values.

In this case the OP is warned or nothing happen? Why not to simply wipe off

the entire thread, totaly useless at this stage? Just asking...

Hello chaps, sorry to be so tardy, only just found your replies. I haven;t changed address but my usual immigration office is in a different province  to me and has insisted that I use the office in the province in which I live. This means a further 100 kms per office visit. In the past I have used the Embassy letter but this time I hope to use a BB Bank statement with foreign deposits of more than B65,000 monthly. Plus my passport, my tabien bahn and some snaps and B1,900. My new Immigration Office is the Yasothon Office in Yasothon city.

Aye.

Aye.

What the heck are you asking.  You make a vague OP, then not follow up will replies. Then post an even  more vague reply.

You change Providence and most likely did not provide that info to imm. There is appropriate form for that. Chase it up. "I just found your replies"... Heck its your thread. Clearly not too pressing.

Aye.

Aye.

When moving to another province as an expat, you're supposed to submit a TM28 and a TM30 at the new immigration office to be able to start doing the 90 days reports and extensions. That's the normal procedure. Didn't anyone tell you that?

It's confusing. How can you using usualy an immigration office in another province

if you haven't  changed your adress?

I think you have changed of location, you live now in another province then

in fact you have changed your adress, but for some reasons you haven't informed

the immigration office of your new location (Where you live now) with a TM28 nor a

TM30 form. You need to do it before to start the process for the renewing of your

annual extension or you could be screwed when you go for it at the end of the month.

Jungle Johnny you should have some informations here

Read all and then ask to your actual residence immigration office in Yasothon city

if they can registered you in their database (You could have some forms to fill and you

could also be fined ,around 500 to 2000 bahts, or not) so be polite, well dressed, apologize for your fail to fill the form at time and wai the IO when you arrive at the officeand when you leave.

I first found that I had to move to another office when I reported to my normal (i.e. the office I'd used for three years) to do a ninety day report, they sent me there-and-then to Yasothon where I did the ninety day report. I don't remember (I am 80 years old) any TM activity but rather imagine that they would not have accepted my 90 day report without registering me somehow. I have certainly not changed my address.

What I'd really appreciate is a list of the documents required to renew an extension to a retirement visa, surely there must be one somewhere, if not can't we work one out?

Aye.

There will not be much difference between the new office in Yasothon and the old one in Amnat Charoen. For the requirements to apply for another extension of stay based upon retirement.

The big difference will be in what you need to prove your income.

You will need statements from bank to confirm the amount of your transfers and they came from abroad. Copies of you bank pages. And a letter from your bank confirming your account.

See clause 2.22 in this document:
