Android APPS - Incompatibility

Featured Replies

This query follows on from one that I posted in the Travel Forum.

Located in UK I am trying to book flights on Emirates via a new Android tablet using Chrome to access Emirates website. After the initial pages in booking a flight the screen displays a message that the (next) webpage cannot be displayed in Landscape format and tells the user to rotate the device to Portrait format. The page then displays but is compressed making it difficult to use and no 'Next' button is displayed to continue.

As recommended by forum users I have used Chrome Settings to check Desktop Site without success. Another suggestion was to 'use the APP'. The only Emirates app in Google Play Store is Emirates Skywards which will download but does not include flight bookings. Useless.

Going to Emirates website I selected Emirates App Android but am told the version is incompatible with my device. I have used the device Settings and cleared the cache in Google Play Store. No change. Disabled and Enabled the app. No change.

All I want is for the Emirates Fligyt Booking webpages to display in Landscape on my device. Why can't it do it?

I don't have access to a laptop or desktop so assume that Emirates have modified their webpages to display on mobile phones but I want the standard display.

Mayday!
