Britain set for December 12 election to break the Brexit deadlock

I think Johnson will win but not a huge majority. SNP make themselves looked more stupid by the day, Swinson is a lightweight and Corbyn cant be trusted as he's a 'fence-sitter'.

That is one possibility. But what I see happening is Boris winning a majority, and the left (yet again) refusing to give losers consent, just as they have been doing since 2016. And then all sorts of

Complete nonsense again. If the Conservatives win a clear majority, they will be able to push through whatever form of brexit they want, unopposed. Clearly you dont understand how parliamentary democr

Actually, the reason they would be back is because no-deal Brexit is currently sitting in a ditch.

Where it belongs,always did,in a ditch,not Boris's either.

You must now congratulate all the Brexiteers, you certainly must, showing no hard feelings, the backstop was a most able tool that Boris played, one supplied and cherished by the irish, well done id say  ,now Boris can get rid of ireland ,both north and south like s.hit off a shovel a magnificent hand

Happy Not Brexit Day to all on Thai visa

People keep telling us it's inevitable and we're naive for refusing to accept it -  for almost four years now.

But it's not happened yet. And it doesn't have to.

Celebrating and gloating about the continued betrayal of the Democratic vote? Classy.????

You're only delaying the inevitable. The swamp is being drained daily as Remainer MP's heard about he GE and immediately ran away with their tails between their legs, too afraid to face the electorate that they have betrayed. Too embarrassed and too ashamed to face the consequences of their actions. Slinking off to hide in the shadows, blaming everyone else like the turncoats they are.

You could only subvert Democracy for so long. The people will tell you again in December. Make sure you're listening this time, although with a huge Leave majority in Parliament it won't matter if you aren't.

We're going, and we're glad to be going.:partytime2:

39.1 up from a low of 37, mainly due to the news of Trump's trade war on Thailand. Hardly a rocket. Unless your rocket's a lot smaller than mine. 555

On this most joyous of days, come let us all celebrate,a new, more magnificent birth of a nation freed of its past, free of bogtrotters, free of anything that stood in its way, of a proud and wonderful heritage, something that will forever live in history, likened to VE day

I thought you were talking about the £.

Did I miss something? Did we leave the EU today? Or are you celebrating the fact that Boris wasn't found dead in a ditch this morning, despite his promise? Don't celebrate too soon, the day is yet young. 555

He's lost the Labour whip and has been urged to stand down by the party, including long time supporter Dianne Abbot. As he's already been reselected by his constituency, it's difficult to deselect him.

Sleazebag that the Labour Party could do without. Watch this space.

Although sleaze seems to be a feature of all parties to some extent or other - no one party can claim to be universally virtuous.

£ doing ok.  Compared with Aug.   It's happy no deal has been cancelled.

God, brexiters can be like little kids who don't get what they are promised.

When will you admit what you were promised was just a pile of lies and fabrications to get your votes? Like you can't get the benefits of savings at Costco without being a member and paying your dues, you  can't get the benefits of being in the EU without being a member and paying your dues.

You are being offered the bait and switch con of a no deal brexit as what you voted for - it wasn't.

You can have a vote to give everybody in the UK their own weight in gold bars - It's never going to happen. You can call this ignoring or subverting democracy if you want, but you can't change the facts that it's in in the ability of the people you voted for to give you what they promised.

It seems to me the leave MPsb are the ones you should should be accusing of lying and betraying those who voted for them.   The Tories have proved themselves totally incompetent and they have failed to deliver what they promised time and time again.  If you vote for them you have only your own stupidity to blame when they don't deliver again.

Interesting the Johnson one has him having a NDA with one Danielle Fleet which isn't his current squeeze. Couple that with the rumour of Russian sex parties and another woman not Symonds is with child then there maybe a whole lot of scandal waiting to engulf him whether he wins or not. He is a deeply unpleasant  , untrustworthy man in so many respects.

But the Brexiteers on these pages have repeatedly stated that a low pound is great for the economy so a higher pound would surely be a disaster?

So true It doesn't really matter who wins - either Johnson gets his majority and the WA goes through, or the forces of Remain win and we revoke or have a rigged second referendum. Either way, no deal is a low-probability outside prospect. Whatever happens and it looks like Farage is getting ready to turn on the Tories electorally speaking it is 'Brexit betrayed' in any terms these Brexiteers here would like to think they understand it. Mr Loiner has disappeared since his mantra "we are leaving on 31st October" turned out to one of many Johnson lies and of course Malgateddy....oh and of couse tub-o-lard nonentity Francoise's Britain exploded....

How can people accept to have a GE over WAB when no one even knows what WAB would mean for f.ex. immigration?
