What if the thermometer was wrong or incorrectly calibrated? Would you wear your shorts, tank top and socks & sandals combo if the thermometer said +30°C but it was really -20°C ? Could have fatal consequences. Seems wiser to use common sense and innate human sensing functions developed over tens of thousands of year than some cheapo device.

Yes, I always walk out naked to check the temperature. If there's a booming sound like church bells, it means it's -20 and time to go back in to thaw ze old nuts. Why bother with such silly inventions like temp meters.
