spidermike007
Nothing that this man says can be taken seriously. He is a man with very little in the way of knowledge, capability, competence, vision, and judgment. It is typical that he would kiss up to the Chicoms. Doing what is best for his people is just not part of his M.O., nor the army's. 2
Popular Post Isaan sailor
Sure seems to me Prayut’s relationship with the ChiComs is what’s killing exports, western tourism and expats. The hot money inflows keep tumbling in—and Bank of Thailand never admits where this foreign hot money comes from. China is Thailand’s competitor—but they just don’t get it.

Prayut said that Thailand will focus on establishing a partnership with Asean nations to promote sustainable development among Asean and other regions globally. He didn't praise China in his talks with Guterres. 2
Moo 2
A world wide referendum should be organize which would ask 2 questions: Would you like to live under a Chinese Communist Regime or live under a fully Democratic System. As for Hong Kong, anyone who think he/she supports China's Politic, should be kicked out of Hong Kong and transferred to mainland China.

Ask the local residents of Sihanoukville if any of that investment has trickled down yet, or remained in mainly Chinese pockets? American elites have been doing the same for decades. Instead of talking, you should be very busy right now hanging high lobbyists and senators in the US Agreed and we are about to see the Chinese President head to the USA to sign a Part 1 trade deal and exchange smiles with an ignorant Donald Trump. Trump's tariff war has been a disaster. Instead of blocking the Chinese from buying up American debt, he allows it to go on in increasing numbers. China owns part of the US with massive inflows of money into real esteate and companies. China educates it's citizens in the USA- mostly those in the Communist Party so they can learn the ins and outs of the American system so they can continue to steal American technology. Trump should have been at Asean pumping the flesh and showing that Asean is an important part of the US-Pacific alliance. Instead he sends a low level representative and Comeerce Secretary Wilbur Ross who spent more on redecorating his office that the average Thai makes in a lifetime. Trump also ditched the Trans Pacific Partnership which was supposed to challenge China's Belt and Road. Prayut and his leadership best take notice of the latest UN study which rates Thailand's wealth difference as the worst in the World. Thailand's 1% own 67% of all of Thailand's wealth , a differential at number 1 in the World. India is second. This means there are huge numbers of Thais below or at the poverty line with little hope of advancing up the income scale. I seriously doubt a 1000 Baht Smart card will keep them happy 2

Trump has disengaged America from this region on his first day. He befriend Kim, divert the battleships to Australia during those tense moment in Korea, stop the SK/US war games, threatened SK and Japan with troop withdrawal unless they pay, mute when NK fire off the missiles. He single handedly withdraw from TPP and only send a low level minister to this ASEAN meeting. He has created a void for China to grab the advantage.
