BANGKOK (Reuters) - Suspected separatist insurgents killed at least 15 and wounded four village defence volunteers in a late-night shooting at a security checkpoint in Thailand's Muslim-majority south, security officials said on Wednesday.

PHUKET: More than 480 police, military officers and volunteers assembled at Phuket City Police Station at 6pm yesterday evening (Nov 5) for a grandstand show of strength and to receive the order from Region 8 Police Deputy Commander Maj Gen Teeraphol Thipjaroen to ramp up their efforts for the upcoming Loy Krathong Festival, to be celebrated next Monday (Nov 11).

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Suspected separatist insurgents stormed a security checkpoint in Thailand's Muslim-majority south and killed at least 15 people, including a police officer and many village defence volunteers, security officials said on Wednesday.

Alibaba to mount Thai product showcase for Chinese shoppers

Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit said he met representatives of the Alibaba Group after opening the Shanghai Trade Exhibition in China recently and the online retail giant has now agreed to have a “Thailand Section” on its website by this month dedicated solely to selling Thai products.

Bank of Thailand cuts rate to 1.25 per cent

GDP, export growth forecasts maintained for remainder of 2019
