A moderate high pressure trough sitting over Laos and the Northeast of Thailand will bring chilly mornings to the North and the Northeast as well as isolated thundershowers over the North and the East coast, the Thailand Meteorological Department said on Wednesday (Nov. 6).

The South, meanwhile, is likely to stay very wet thanks to a monsoon trough across the upper South. Category 3 tropical storm Nakri, meanwhile, is currently hovering over the South China Sea and moving slowly eastwards but is likely to take a turn to the west. While Central Vietnam will be affected by strong winds and heavy rains, Thailand is not likely to be impacted by the storm.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows:

Northern region: Cool weather and fog in the morning with thunder showers in 10 per cent of the area, temperature lows of 21-23 degrees and highs of 32-35 degrees Celsius. Temperature likely to drop to 9-14 degrees on hilltops.

Northeastern region: Cool weather and fog in the morning, temperatures lows 18-22 degrees and highs of 33-35 degrees Celsius. Temperature likely to drop to 12-14 degrees on hilltops.

Central region: Partly cloudy; lows of 21-24 degrees, highs 33-35 degrees Celsius.

Eastern region: Partly cloudy with thunder showers in 10 per cent of the area; lows 23-25 degrees, highs 32-35 degree Celsius; wave height 1 metre.

Southern region (east coast): Cloudy with thunder showers and partly heavy rains in 60 per cent of the area; lows of 23-25 degrees, high 30-33 degrees Celsius; wave height 1 metre, increasing to 1-2 metres during storms.

Southern region (west coast): Cloudy with thunder showers and partly heavy rains in 60 per cent of the area; lows 23-24 degrees, highs 31-33 degree Celsius; wave height 1 metre, increasing to 1-2 metres during storms.

Bangkok and surrounding area: Partly cloudy, temperature lows of 24-25 degrees, highs 32-34 degrees Celsius.

Cold, rainy, storms, smoke. At least put a pretty weather girl in the photo, too gloomy.
