I know to many of us it will make no differance as we will not be here ,but i know we laugh about millennials going on about ,there are dozens of different sexes ,having comfort spaces ,not clapping but waving hands so as not to upset people ,and on and on ,but think on it ,soon they will be the ones running the country ,what a frightening thought ,well for normal people anyway ,

what are your thoughts ,and what do you think the future holds?

We had our time and they will have theirs.  It seems fair to me.  Each generation has their own chance to screw things up as much as they want.????

I get the feeling they want to turn the world into the same as the world in Demolition Man. I just can't figure out who Dr. Cocteau is yet.

I am not sure if half the stuff we read in the papers are true about them ,but to be honest it is scary that people who have never really had a life of going without will be able to cope when times get tough ,or if there is another war or disaster, the young do seem to expect everything on a plate ,i love my grandkids and nieces and nephews to bits , but a couple are so left wing ,they male Corbyn look like a tory ,then my youngest granddaughter, has been taught in school that all is normal ,i wont go into it as i will get roasted by some on here ,but she knows nothing else ,

You need a nap.

Most of us will be dead before that ever happens so who cares? Millennials are already ruining the world. Previous generations have created electricity, the locomotive, the telephone, solar power, the internet, the cell phone, the computer, NASA and trips to the moon, satellite communications, eradication of many diseases, etc. What have the millennials created? Bitcoin and Social Media. The latter is ruining the world and the former will never amount to anything. Thanks millennials. Get to work doing something important for the world.

"OK, Boomer!" would be the Millenial response to this claptrap. "Thanks for destroying the planet and then dying without fixing it." I actually feel sorry for the young people of today. If comfort spaces and hand-waving are the neurotic rituals they need to cope with the horrific mountain of <deleted> they are inheriting, let them wave away. Were they the "normal people" that we are, they'd just be giving us all the finger.

I'm pretty sure our elders felt the same when we were young and just starting out.

+1

We were always told we should leave a place better than we were given/found it

Cannot help but feel we boomers have not honored that

What's a 'Comfort Space'.     Many may think this is a Bar Stool.

I'm sure all the old folk in the 1960's felt the same way about the hippies.

The world will continue to spin and politics and religion will continue to stuff

things up.

Only if 11,000 climate scientists have got it wrong!

10,999 'climate scientists' and Mickey Mouse, as that was one of the ones who signed it.

The elders say this about every generation ,example Elvis Presley rock & Roll ducktale beatnik's and the flower generation hippie Lsd crowd.

Your millennial's are no different! Still it is very disturbing that they turn to socialist radical ideas of total Gov control of individuals ! Sad!

Compared to the youth who fought in the great war, lived through the depression then WW2 and the post war upheavals and poverty the millennials HAVE IT EASY! They are spoilt, entitled and MENTALLY WEAK!

Both of my children in the UK are "millenials". I wouldn't recognise either of them from your description.

"Millenial" Meaningless and abstract pigeonholing.

They can't do much worse that the dictatorial dinosaurs that are running most countries now.

I think a certain country will conquer them because they are too soft to win against that country, and those that are not killed will be slaves.

Can anyone of us oldies imagine that bunch of softies in a world war?

Either that, or another black death caused by abuse of antibiotics creating antibiotic resistant bugs.

Always exceptions to the rule.

How would they get on if they didn't have computers or a phone, and there was a depression like in the 1930s?

I agree as to the people running our countries now, but they can, and will do worse.

It's not their fault though. Their parents spoiled them and made them so.

Oh they can do much worse and would if they could. Their dogma is all about revenge and taking from people what is rightfully theirs.

Don't forget that leftwing ideology has killed more people throughout history than rightwing ideology.

You don't miss what you've never had. Neither of my children spend all day staring into their phones.

1930's depression? I wasn't there so I'll leave you to coment on that.

Anyone that thinks which of 35 or something genders they are is important is too soft to survive in the real world.

Anyway, they are going to get a swift sharp shock when all the jobs are done by robotics AI and they have to survive on a "living wage" pittance.

Neither was I but what it was like is easily found out in those things called books.

They look like the ones that cried because Hillary didn't win.
