Popular Post voulez vous
Very early morning here. Claudette has finally fallen asleep and that gives me a chance to check my emails. Mr Owl has asked me to post some pics. He has the ladder ready to fix the roof tiles. Not sure if he will do the fixing himself. His left knee and racing heart might deter him. Don't stop him doing those smaller repairs however. Silver tape to the rescue once again. Mildred snapped a white buffalo just along from the pink Buddha bunny. Reminds me of that iconic film 'In search of the white buffalo'. Charles Bronson goes looking for the fabled beast and has great adventures on the way. He makes a brew of reishi every five days or so. Mixes two parts brew with one part Lao khow. Would make some myself if I could get the rice alcohol. His SinL Pook has still not returned his pipes. She has finished the drip-pipe and main runs. No water feeding her plants at the mo'. Mr Owl can't understand what's going on in that farm. Lovely pics of the villagers with their children. Black face keeping a look out for farangs. Always on the look-out for peelaws. Spotted another one a few days ago. And as promised, a pic of Charkie on the wall under the satelite dish. Mr owl informs me that it's getting really bad with the dogs on his soi. Have to shut the gate every time they go out. Mr Owl back on Friday. These bans will, hopefully teach him lesson. His card is definitely marked. He has to watch it. No sign of rain in Mr Owl's area. That's just one shower in 130 days. I'm sure he will have more to say on this later in the week. Claudette has awaken and is gesturing me to return to bed, so farangsters I must say au revoir. Popular Post sotonowl
The lighters with the ladies on brought back some bad memories. Years ago I was working away from home as usual at Conoco on the Humber Bank. I was courting a lady from the Philippines at the time. We lived in Southampton. Well, we were going on holiday to Lanzarote and it was my last day at work prior to the holiday. I was rushing round trying to make sure my handover was done and everything was prepared for me to leave for 2 weeks. Now I had some prescription safety specs which had one of the arms broken, but I could use them if I assembled the glasses in a certain way and the arm only came off when I removed the glasses. Anyway, I got everything done as best I could and jumped in the car, 50 miles down the road, I realised I still had the safety glasses on and my normal ones were still in my desk drawer. God help me, but I wasn't going back for them, I'd manage somehow even though the safety specs were pretty ugly. So, I took the safety glasses on holiday. I could manage for distance at that time, I only really needed them for reading and close up stuff really. So we went for lunch one day in "The Owl & the Pussy Cat" in Puerto Del Carmen which I knew was owned by a fellow Wednesdayite. After a few beers I went to light a ciggy and the lighter wouldn't work. Never mind, there were a load of those little gift shops you get just round the corner. I left the safety specs on the table along with the paper I was reading and went to buy a cheap lighter. Went in the shop and picked one up with a naked lady on display and gave it to the young lady serving who gave me a really dirty look, snatched the money off of me and threw my change on the counter. I just thought what the <deleted> is wrong with these people. Why would you sell stuff that disgusts you. I returned to the pub and lit my fag, put my glasses on and went to pick up the paper when I saw the naked bloke on the lighter. Still raises a smile even now. I eventually gave the lighter to a mate on my return home.???? 3

Popular Post owl sees all
Hi There. Owl here. Thank you all for being so patient whilst I was sabbaticalling. My thanks to Monsieur Vous. Interesting character indeed. Since retiring from his lecturing post at the University he has indulged in his passion. That of pleasuring women. Very successful too. Not everyone's cup-of-rosy I know, but he enjoys it. Obviously has to keep his energy levels up. He, like me, is disciple of natural-health; which automatically leads to a good life. And his ladies always have a spring in their step (I'm informed). (o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o) Been a busy and interesting couple of weeks. The world has moved on. England has moved on. Thailand has moved on. In fact in the area (Isaan) where I've called my home for 13 years now, there is gossip of compulsory mask wearing. We are ready for this of course. Would appeal to all; the convinced, the skeptical, the unconcerned and the smokers. (o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o) Mrs Owl's big daughter, had the house-warming party. A monk lit a candle and blessed the couple and the house. So now that it's sorted, I'll start planning what to do with my new found money. About 30 adults there at the height of activities. Hansum farang watching and learning. (o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o) Went to Udon, to see a friend at the week end, and found some interesting things to snap. Another footy ground and a pyramid. I notice that Udon is Thailand's second most populated city after BKK. TBH it didn't look in any sort of recession. What about competition?! What about a Big C, a 7/11 and a Tesco all next to each other? (o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o) Some really good news with the avocadoes. Two nuts have decided to grow after three months. Just have to be patient. Can't rush nature. Looking great. The other avo' is not far behind. I'll keep updating on this. (o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o) The guy opposite was renewing his drive. The rubble came in handy for me, 'cause our bit by the road was low and would surely get muddy if the rain ever came. I showed Mrs Owl how to break the bigger rocks into smaller ones with a hammer. She couldn't get the hang of it, so it was left to me. Put in more stone since. Looks grand. (o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o)(o) Some interesting Valentine day pics for next Owl Log. Also a young lady and her cart full of timber. Not forgetting the beautiful work done at the 'red Buddha' site. More goodies at the 20 baht shop. My EPL team is against runaway leaders, and nineteen-wins-in-a-row merchants, tomorrow. I'm having a substantial wager on the Irons to upset their hopeful plans. I'll settle for 0-2. Mildred is rushing me to go to farm. She is off school today. My book has arrived. Exactly 30 days since ordering. Just like nature; can't rush these things. Once again; thank you to all the regular posters that have moved this thread onward and upwards. Much more to follow. Bye y'all. 4
Popular Post Golden Triangle
Good to have you back Owl, I'm pretty sure you either write a script or actually dictate for monsieur Vol au vent, when you are otherwise engaged ???? because the writing style seems to be so so similar ???? After a couple of terms in jail I had to start to think very carefully about what I want to say & what I actually say, it's very easy to have a pop at some obnoxious oaf of which there are many & then find yourself serving hard labour, anyhow, good to have you back chap ???????????????????? 6

Good man, no matter how right you are you can't beat the system, so stay with safe subjects, for example, will Fulham ever get out of the relegation zone ? I only follow them as I was born there, and proud of it, tbh I have little interest in footy ????

Yes! They are not doing so well at the present. The club moved into their hew home (Roots Hall) in the mid 50s. What I think wonderful is that the supporters themselves mostly paid for the grounds development, and many supporters actually did the work. I don't support them particularly but they have a proud history and of course they play in Essex, so I have an eye on their progress or otherwise. As you say sanuk711 at the mo' it's very otherwise. Just typing this and thinking of the beautiful county makes me home-sick. For those not into footy it's Southend United FC. I stopped watching them when they left the Kursaal. And always a good pub-trivia question: Which manager was hired and resigned by the same club; three times?
