Macau Chief Executive to visit Thailand to boost relations

The Chief Executive of the Macau Special Administrative Region will be visiting Thailand in order to strengthen relations and foster cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, and labor.

The Director General of the Department of Information, Mr. Trit Jarungwattana (ธฤต จรุงวัฒน์), revealed that the Chief Executive of the Macau Special Administrative Region, Mr. Edmund Ho Hau-wah (เอ็ดมัน โฮ โฮว วา), will be conducting an official visit to Thailand from April 8-10 on invitation from the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The event marks Mr. Edmund Ho Hau-wah's first visit to Thailand since his inauguration in 1999. Mr. Hau-wah will be accompanied by the Macau Secretariat of Economy and Finance, the Chairman of the Macau Senate, the Director of the Macau Government Tourism Office, the Chairman of the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, and the management of leading businesses in Macau.

The visit hopes to boost economic, trade, tourism, and labor relations between Macau and Thailand. Macau delegates will be meeting with Prime Minister Gen Surayud Chulanon, the Chairman of the National Legislative Assembly, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
