What makes and models are there here in Thailand ? Looking for a smallish flat bed with a crane that can lift 1.5-2T..

Do I need to retro fit a crane to an existing truck or are there models with cranes as standard ??

Isuzu light trucks with a cherry picker fitted are what Thai Watsadu have for their delivery trucks.

Hino makes them as well.

I think all those cranes are after-market but if you were buying new, maybe it's an option the dealer can facilitate?

The truck is sold as a cab-chassis and the crane and PTO are retrofitted.  You may find a dealer who will do this for you using a crane supplier, or you can go straight to the supplier.  Used units can be OK but have all the same risks as used cars + extra parts cost.

Loader crane trucks are not pre-engineered so the supplier used to select and fit the crane to the truck needs to know what they are doing.  Make sure the truck blue book is amended for the crane and you keep up the required inspections.

Scania probably won't offer a truck in LOS to suit a 1.5 - 2t crane.  Isuzu and Hino do and are more common.

Good loader crane manufacturers are Hiab for knuckle boom and Tadano for telescopic cranes.  Both have dealers in Thailand.

You will need to decide what radius you need and if you want a knuckle boom type or telescopic type (as in post #3).  The knuckle boom loader cranes avoid winches and wire ropes but the telescopic type are good if a true vertical lift or lower clearance is important.

Despite sometimes still using the Mitsubishi name, Fuso is no longer a Mitsubishi brand.  It is mostly owned by Daimler Benz now.  Mitsubishi Fuso trucks were very popular in Thailand but have lost most of their share of the Thai heavy truck market.  Apparently Daimler are going to build a factory in Rayong to assemble Fuso trucks so perhaps their market share will improve.

You will need to buy chassis-cab + body + crane. The dealer will most likely be very helpful. Ensure the operator is taught not to operate the crane without extending the legs.
