Tom Cruise is the focal point of a new promotional poster released in promotion of Top Gun: Maverick, the long-awaited sequel to 1986's action film Top Gun.

In the shot, the A-lister, who plays Maverick in the Air Force action drama, is pensively standing by an classic aircraft watching a pair of fighter jets ascend into the sky.

Cruise, 57, and Val Kilmer, 59, return for the sequel to the 1980s hit, which also features an ensemble cast including Jon Hamm, Jennifer Connelly, Ed Harris, Miles Teller and Glen Powell.
