Renew thai drivers license (Digital work permit)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm going to renew my temporary 2 year motorbike license to a 5 year one.

According to the DLT site one of the criteria is:

"ORIGINAL PRESENT RESIDENT ADDRESS IN THAILAND CERTIFY FROM EMBASSY / IMMIGRATION BUREAU (VALID FOR 1 YEAR) OR WORK PERMIT (WITH PRESENT RESIDENT ADDRESS IDENTIFIED) AND ORIGINAL PHOTO COPY OR WORK PERMIT WITH ORIGINAL AND PHOTO COPY"

The thing is that I have a digital work permit on my phone. So I suppose I could take a print screen and print it out. But it doesn't even have my home address in it tho..

Will they accept this?

no address on WP means you will have to get a residence cert is my understanding.

If it doesn't show your address (which is the reason that they want it!) what do you think, really?

Resident or work address is also an issue with the classic paper workpermit, so I would not worry about that. I have used my workpermit for this a few times, so it always has my work address on it.

But if a print from the phone of a digital WP will do the trick, no idea.
