13-Year-Old Boy Killed in Firearm Incident in Nakhon Ratchasima
A 13-year-old boy lost his life in a firearm incident on the evening of November 22, in Ban Huai Hin, Non Sombun Subdistrict, Soeng Sang District. The incident occurred around 16:55, when authorities at Soeng Sang Hospital were called and alerted to an accidental discharge of a homemade firearm. Upon arriving at the scene, located on a dirt road in the middle of a rice field, investigators found the lifeless body of the young victim. The boy had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the mouth, and a large pool of blood surrounded his body. The location, a quiet rural area, has left local residents shocked and grieving. The victim's identity has not been disclosed due to his age. The homemade firearm involved in the incident is believed to have accidentally discharged, causing the fatal wound. The details of how the boy came into possession of the weapon remain unclear. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of a friend or acquaintance being present at the time of the incident and are working to determine the circumstances leading to the tragedy. The body was transported by the Hook 31 Soeng Sang Rescue Unit to Soeng Sang Hospital for an autopsy. Residents of Ban Huai Hin have expressed their sorrow and disbelief over the incident. "It's heartbreaking to lose a child so young to something that could have been avoided," said a local villager. The community has called for greater awareness and stricter measures regarding the handling of homemade and illegal firearms. Lt. Col. Somchai Phukson, the lead investigator, stated, "This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of homemade firearms. We are committed to identifying the source of the weapon and ensuring justice for the family of the deceased." The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have pledged to address the proliferation of unlicensed and homemade firearms in the region to prevent further tragedies. BREAKING NEWS British lawyer latest to fall in Laos alcohol poisoning tragedy
Indeed, I once drank some 'Johnny Walker Black' with Coke which made me a bit ill, can't remember exactly what happened as this was a long time back and I've been ill on a few occasions, it was maybe 8 or 9 years ago. Anyway I complained about it to the owner of the bar and she said something along the lines of 'that's the last time I buy whisky from the police'. -
