I do not believe he said " carry on spending " unless he is a total Moron!

He must have been watching one of the British Carry on films Carry on Regardless or it could have been Carry on Dick most likely.

The uniform he is wearing in the photo is a civil service uniform, not army uniform.

Yes i do agree with you about the diatribe he is spouting.

Right you are, one question though: in which kind of countries do one see civil servants wearing army-style uniforms...?

he media mentioned Paragon, Discovery Center, Siam Center and Icon Siam.

Such places are checking air-con and ozone treatments and have plenty of sterilizing alcohol gel on hand.

I went to Central Chidlom today, and the men's bathroom I visited to wash my hands had one solitary soap dispenser that was empty as of noon time...

Unbelievable! With a World health crisis, all Thailand thinks about is MONEY. Can't they get into their heads that the ban on travel and tour groups from China (imposed by China) there will be NO MONEY to spend!

In particular he has told everyone to carry on spending at places like the big department stores in Thailand, all of which have measures in place to tackle the health emergency.

Dear Minister...

I'm spending all my money on N95 face masks, washless hand cleaning gels, air purifiers, etc etc... Unfortunately stocks of those and related items are getting hard to find!!!  Because Thailand has no efficient supply chain for so many things!

Maybe this guy should personally spit shine all the other knobs on his knees. Seems he is not living in reality. Judging by the Chiang Mai airport mall yesterday, there is no way in heck they can control sterility with all the Chinese there.

I’ve been sitting in a cafe for an hour and can see the front doors and escalators. No one has cleaned anything while I’ve been here.

You can believe a word these people say.

What you said, THAT I can believe!!!  :clap2:

"But in a reminder of how deadly the respiratory virus can be, federal health officials estimate that as many as 16,000 people have died (in the USA) of flu this season (2019)..."

Why is the world panicking about the Coronavirus? The risk of contracting influenza and dying is much higher.
