harry1465 Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 I’m getting ready to retire in Chiang Mai I’m 72 years young and wondering with the new law that requires me to have insurance. Curious if anyone can recommend an insurance company that you are using so I can compare cost.
tonray Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Insurance only currently required for O-A Visa holders or those extending from an original entry on an O-A Visa
cnxgary Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Insurance is required if extending O-A based on retirement insurance is not required when extending O-A based on marriage.

ramrod711 Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 I'm 67, just had the medical exam at Lanna hospital for Pacific Cross insurance. The 51,000 baht quoted can be lowered to 38,000 baht if you accept 40,000 deductible. The exam was very thorough cost 6,000 baht, I was there for about 4 hours. I'm waiting now to see if I will be accepted by Pacific Cross.
harry1465 Posted February 21, 2020 Author Posted February 21, 2020 Ramrod thank you for this information it’s very helpful for me. Pacific Cross is the best rates for me. Thanks again Harry
