Video: High ranking police thank the spirits after successful outcome in Lopburi armed robbery/murder

 

 

The chief of Region 1 police led a large group of high ranking officers from Lopburi to the shrine of Phra Karn after the successful conclusion of the Aurora gold shop heist earlier this month. 

 

The cops were part of teams that arrested a school director on January 22nd following the death of three people at Robinson's on January 9th.

 

The ceremony is a Thai merit making tradition as a way of saying thanks or assuaging a debt after help was earlier invoked from the spirit.

 

The police presented 999 eggs, fruit and other items at the auspicious time of 10.59, reported 77kaoded. 

 

Leading the entourage was Lt-Gen Amphon Buarapporn who joked that he always felt good after a reporter asked him if such a ceremony made him happy.

 

Police were under enormous pressure to get a result in a case featuring such brutality that it shocked the entire nation. 

 

A two year old boy was shot dead and four people were also injured.

For once the cops do their job - which they get paid for - and they get praised for that ?

It was the killer's wife who gave the tip. Surely she deserves some recognition because she has been vilified simply due to association in the online sphere.

The cops may well have joined the dots in time, but they certainly never seemed like they were on the brink of a breakthrough at any stage

i not really like police, but this police do good job. Sure. 

 

 

They think by posing for a photo today they'll be forever preserved in prosperity. If only they knew that in the future they will be paraded as examples of idiocy.

Once? They solved another gold shop robbery where shots were fired in the same day at Nonthaburi. That is just one example.

It’s reads like the robbery murder was a success & the Police are grateful ! 

Native Thai speakers who may use translation apps at times to translate Thai news stories. It never fails to amaze me that so many on this forum struggle with that concept and take the stories as written as opposed to using said stories as a guideline of events only and keeping 'loss via translation' in the forefront of their minds.
