Suvarnabhumi Airport launched a hygiene campaign on Monday (February 3) for taxis and public buses that pick up passengers there to disinfect their seats and cabins in a move to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The airport made the disinfectant available at the taxi service location for drivers to disinfect their vehicle seats and cabins before ferrying passengers.

Suvarnabhumi is also handing out facial masks to the drivers and providing hand-wash gels at some spots for passengers.

Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said on Monday that of the 19 coronavirus cases in Thailand, eight of the patients have returned home and four have been given the doctor’s okay and will go back home soon. Seven will remain in hospital but have seen a good improvement in their condition.

It’s all aimed at positive feedback. Often when people arrive in a foreign country and arrive at there hotel they ring home to report all is well arrived safely and my taxi was sparkling clean with a virus free taxi driver. Thailand PM is right everything is under control. Spread the word !
