A Sanook story about a four vehicle pile up in Nakhon Sawan - and a 'miracle escape' for three people - concentrated more on an amulet hanging in the cab of a destroyed pick-up and a couple of lottery tickets that were found rather than the appalling carnage. 

 

Takhli police found a devastating scene on the Inburi - Takfa Road around 3pm yesterday afternoon. 

 

An Isuzu picked up had been crushed beyond recognition front and back. It had slowed behind a Hino truck laden with straw. 

 

But another Hino truck had gone into it and squashed it. 

 

Three occupants, two men and a woman, had to be cut out but were alive.

 

Others at the scene were only slightly hurt.

 

Sanook reported the important detail of the kind of amulet that was hanging on the rear view mirror - it was a plastic covered Luang Phor Thuat.

In addition two lottery tickets were found in the vehicle for the upcoming draw on February 16th. The number was 789283. 

 

Passersby, were busy determining the likely winning numbers at the weekend based on the lottery ticket number in combination with the licence plate of the Isuzu.

Meanwhile, three people were rushed to hospital.

Absolutely correct. Need to get the priorities right - lottery ticket numbers are way more important.
