Huge power outage to hit Chalong, Rawai

PHUKET: The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has announced that the electricity supply will be temporarily shut off in large areas of Chalong and Rawai tomorrow (Feb 13).

 

 

 

The work will be carried out on improving high-voltage distribution system, the PEA said in its announcement.

 

The areas in Rawai to be affected by the power outage, from 7:30am to 4:30 pm, were listed in three parts, as follows:

Good timing. No tourists around. PEA should always plan it's upgrades during pandemics.

Not sure what’s going on down there,maybe someone can explain.

when I first moved to Thailand,I went to Kata.

always having loss of electricity or blackouts for nearly a full day.

Moved to Chiang Mai,hardly ever have blackouts.

 

The PEA should announce major power shut down at least a week before and not a day before.  Can you image when you have just stock up your refrigerator and PEA announce whole day power cut the next day?

Ah all part of the cunning plan to be the huba hub, hub of electricity supply...... Lol
