Power of Attorney to Sell Car

Featured Replies

Please guide me

Farang living in Chonburi close to Bang Saen not Pattaya

Girlfriend currently working in Khon Kaen

She has asked me to help her sell her car which I have possession of in Chon Buri.

I dont speak Thai

She is Thai but cannot be present in Chonburi to assist with sale due to work comittments

So Power of Attorney will be needed

Car is a Benz 2007 year

I need to know what the procedure will be to effect the sale

I believe the vehicle is registered in Khon Kaen ( I need to confirm that)

Can someone kindly outline documentation and process needed to allow me to conduct the sale on her behalf?

I'm assuming a specific Power of Attorney can be drawn up just to facilitate the car sale.

Thank you for reading.

It seems I should have been specific about vehicle to be sold.

Mercedes Benz SLK 200 Kompressor 2007 year 54ks on the odometer. Original lady owner. No bodywork. No accidents. Lady sole driver except for me the past week. Vehicle in excellent condition.

not sure how a POA will help you if you need to sign in Thai. She can sign the book and copies of her ID and write up a signed bill of sale with the amount left blank. Then all you have to do is collect the money, fill in the amount and date all the items for that day. Give the new owner the copies of ID and her phone number, the owner book and a copy of the bill of sale. Eazy-Pezy.

Same thing I did when I bought my bike from a friend of the owner. All the headaches are the new owner's ????
