Crime Monk Guns Down Fellow Monk in Shocking Phuket Temple Shooting
Seems the Buddhist seniority is being given to just anyone. How can these monks doing drugs, killing people, having sex with patrons, and many other crimes as a buddhist, get past others to be permitted to stay as a monk? Every temple should and probably are aware of the type of people the monks are within their temple. As well as what they do daily. Or is it the Thai monk religion that is the problem here? There are so many monks doing bad and much more that are not caught or brought into light that the whole religion is corrupt. -

Avoiding trouble in Thailand
Look at this and other forums, and news on Thailand, daily, before you commit to living here. Secondly, if that doesn't convince you, rent here for awhile, enjoying what Thailand can show you, again before moving here permanently. This is a very different country than most others, especially outside of Asia, including the weather, crime rates, cost of living, visa policies, dating and what's involved, There are some serious issues that some might not like when it comes to adopting a new lifestyle, here and anywhere else you might want to try living. Some fit in here okay but some don't. Think of what you like enjoying in your own country and see if it's available here. Bangkok is a lot like many major cities worldwide, so think of that also. -

Avoiding trouble in Thailand
Age? Single? Passport country? Do you have a Thai bank account? Visas are easy. As pointed out above best to obtain in home country prior to arrival. Thailand is a very safe country as is Bangkok safe city to live in. Some dills get scammed. Easy to avoid. -
