Government health minister: Watch out for "dirty farangs" spreading the virus in Thailand

Dear Mr. Tourist Minister;

I have been coming to Thailand for years and always felt welcome. I even put up with your s***y air and arcane immigration rules because I like Thailand and the Thai people. However, I am now in Cambodia simply because your country has made no effort to clean up its act. And, now, with your insulting words, I am going to do my best to make sure I spend a minimal amount of money in your country. When you are out of office, I will revisit this issue. Until then, <deleted>

I have NEVER seen a Thai wash their hands after using the bathroom ( maybe NOW they are a bit more germ-conscious). And it originated from the Chinese eating stuff they shouldn't be eating(slaughtered in the most unsanitary conditions)....And they call us dirty...

  • Popular Post

The chinese created it, in their food wildlife breeding pens. Plus you have Thais who are diseased, coming back from  Korea and so a scapegoat needs to be found. ... Obviously he has the backing of the Government.

This worked in 1997 Economic meltdown. Why not try to use the Big Lie once again?! He has, they have,  nothing to lose.

Stupid people in government say stupid things all the time , though I have to admit this one takes the cake.

The government he works for  will either fire him or agrees with him. We will see.

Considering I average 2 showers a day (morning and night) plus every time after sex I probably shower much more often than this guy lmao.

Let´s just say that this man is not the sharpest knife in the box. One has to take pleasure in ones own punishments for making such stupid remarks as a public official.

This dude qualifies for the Darwin award. He's even more mentally unhinged than Trump when he made his Mexican statements.

The irony is that I've noticed more 'farang' wearing face masks than Thais in many areas (not that they really help or are necessary if you're not sick) and as free people, we should have the right to choose whether we wear one or not.

The other piece of irony is that Chiang Mai just so happens to be the city with the most polluted air in the world. Talk about calling the kettle black, Mr. racist!

I notice that the minister is also NOT wearing a mask.

This self opinionated person has the same chance of researching on the internet where real doctors in the real world have proved beyond all reasonable doubt that wearing a mask will not stop you catching Covid-19.

He gets a comeuppance of sorts in the upcoming "In Conversation" interview with May Wong on Channel News Asia (due to air on 18th I think). In the preview I saw, she hits him squarely with the accusation that he's unfit for office; his squirming and shaky response was compulsive viewing.

I believe it should be our duty to spread this as far as we possibly can, to every person we know overseas, and the media. The UK Sun newspaper would love this one. It is time that prospective tourists understand the mentality of their hosts. They think tourist numbers are low now? The blame will lie squarely on this muppets shoulders once everyone knows the <deleted> he comes out with and the contempt with which those who provide 20% of the country's revenue are held.

He seems to be the dirty little <deleted> with his foul racist mouth. Silver spoon raised and fed, educated in the US and a loud mouthed weasel who has no place in a government position. As for CM, he needs to stay away as no one here likes him, and for masks, there are none to find now, and the air quality is terrible which will probably kill the virus anyway since so bad. He is truly a sad representation of a human being.

should we not wait for actual confirmation that its his account first?

That is because we are not stupid and we realise those face masks offer littler protection from Corona visa , why waste our time and money buying and wearing face masks that offer little protection .

Instead of buying those face masks, felangs have been going around 7/11s and buying up all the toilet paper and hoarding it , like back home .

Plus we can’t find any , only gel starting to be released now still no masks in Korat, maybe they hoarding from us

I can't believe this is real. Maybe i'm wrong but it looks like he is being trolled

There is a possibility...apparently he follows a government critic on Twitter, which would seem a bit strange. I'm guessing by tomorrow he'll come out and either give a half-hearted apology, or claim he was being impersonated.

As I am fluent in Thai, the comments he made do look troll-like, but it's hard to tell with this guy. Could be real, could be fake. The verdict is still out on this one.

What the <deleted> is this <deleted> problem.  Did he get a wedgie from a foreigner one day.  I believe that he is a racist turd, who would complain about anything he finds that a westerner does.  He is a despicable little man....

I forwarded the article to the US Papers - LA Times, Washington Post, Daily News, and straight to an editor I know in Portland Oregon.

I would think if you are a government minister surely your account would be verified

Fair point, but we'll probably find out by tomorrow. Both farang (expats and tourists) and Thais are fuming. If you can read Thai, look at the replies on his Twitter feed!

As me old granny used to say;" What can you expect from a pig only a grunt?"

Last month our Ambassador was photographed with Peppa Pig. I can only assume this little piggy was referring to the Ambassador?

I love it. PHUAK NEE????????

So, what is he going to do about "Phuak Nee" ?

Anyone who accepts such an insult and stays in Thailand deserves what is coming soon.

Thankfully I'm off soon after 15 years, never to set foot in this place again until these despicable toads are out of power

The fact he is allowed to say these things speaks volumes about the government's attitude towards foreigners

If this thick pig didn't know, can somebody please inform him that 99% of all the inventions he uses on a daily basis were invented in the west

And ..............we saved you big time in WW2, have some <deleted> respect

Plus it was the Americans in the 60s and 70s that prevented Thailand from being overrun by communists AND they helped build up Thailand's infrastructure! Divided highways with 'frontage roads' (aka service roads or feeders) are an American invention!

It was an American education and know-how that helped build up CP to what it is now, when the aging chairman I believe it was, was 'selected' to study how to industrialize pig farms in the USA in 1964.

You must hang with classy people. I see them showering for 10 mins and brushing their teeth thoroughly. Washing hands. Super clean.

Don't worry, this will hit the international press big time, much bigger even then his previous stupid comments last month.

I'm sure it will be very beneficial for the tourism industry. NOT?

He called "farangs" dirty people who don't shower.

I can feel the love... did he instructed his folks to throw away the farang's money
